On-street parking is located throughout the surrounding neighborhood. While this has caused a bit of frustration for some less mobile members, we are continually working to find better ways to alleviate this hardship.
Specifically, we have a limited number of handicap parking spaces along the street in front of the Broadway Street entrances. In addition, we have Wheels of Welcome. This is a service initiated during Fall 2010. You may call the church office to arrange a complimentary ride, provided by a local taxi service, for Sunday mornings. During the week, rides can be arranged through the paratransit program, currently Abby Vans. Also, stationed at the ramp at the Broadway Street entrance, we have a "curb usher" to help anyone who needs extra assistance.
Curb ushers will not only provide assistance getting out of the car at the curb directly in front of the doors but will also, walk the individual(s) to the door. When the individual is ready to leave the premise, volunteers will again provide assistance.
