Jan has served as Office Manager at First Congregational since 1998 following 19 years as administrative assistant for an agriculture cooperative. Major responsibilities include the production of worship bulletins, newsletters and brochures, communicating with staff, leadership and congregation, scheduling meetings and outside groups, maintaining the church calendar, maintaining church records and supervising volunteers.  She enjoys the daily interaction with staff, volunteers and church members and friends. Creative multitasking is what she does best.

Originally from California Jan has called Wisconsin home for most of her life. Majoring in Music Therapy and Elementary Music Education at UW-Eau Claire, she also attended Chippewa Valley Technical College in the Administrative Assistant program. Jan’s passion is church work, having been a church secretary, youth advisor, committee member, mission team participant and musician. She is involved in several local outreach organizations.

Jan and her husband share a home with two exuberant yellow labs. She plays oboe in the Chippewa Valley Symphony, sings in a women’s choir and performs with other community groups. She and her husband enjoy entertaining in their country home, attending and supporting local and cultural events, restoring classic cars, flying small planes and participating in various outdoor activities.
