Pam Braun, Primary Education Coordinator, provides a friendly, familiar face in the nursery on Sunday mornings. Pam warmly greets families as they bring their infants and toddlers for child care and their preschoolers for Sunday School, and then teaches the preschoolers. She loves young children and has been a Sunday School teacher or assistant for 28 years.

Pam’s ministry at First Congregational UCC includes the nursery, preschool, kindergarten, and first grade. She has been a part of many children’s lives as they have grown up in the First Congregational family.

She also has worked as a kindergarten aide in the Eau Claire school district. Her experience with young children contributes to her vision of learning at First Congregational, enhancing her ideas for Christian education and Sunday school lessons, which she writes for preschool, kindergarten, and first grade.

Her professional credentials include a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in journalism, with a psychology minor. She has attended workshops on Christian education.

Pam also is a freelance writer and editor. In the summer she helps her husband operate a mobile ice cream business called 9 Degrees.

Pam volunteers as the chairperson of the Good Neighbor Project, a partnership of First Congregational and three neighborhood churches that provides what low-income students need to participate in school (school fees, clothing, shoes, snacks, etc).

She and her husband, Paul, have two children. In her spare time she likes to curl up with a good book and occasionally feels the urge to bake.

Pam looks forward to helping your children learn about God and grow in their faith journey.
