“Why Didn’t Anyone Tell Me This Before: Embracing an Adult Faith” is the focus of Dr. Borg’s presentation.

Marcus J. Borg is an American Biblical scholar and author. He is a fellow of the Jesus Seminar, holds a DPhil degree from Oxford University and is a Hundred Distinguished Professor of Religion and Culture, an endowed chair, at Oregon State University, from which he retired in 2007. Borg is among the most widely-known and influential voices in progressive Christianity.

First Congregational UCC, Eau Claire is offering a RETREAT PACKAGE. The ticket for the Borg retreat and lodging at the New Richmond, AmericInn for Friday, April 20 is $104 (based on double occupancy). Borg will speak at New Richmond High School, 650 Richmond Way, New Richmond, WI beginning at 6:00 PM. The event concludes on Saturday, April 21 at 2:45 PM. Deadline for First Congregational Group registration is March 16.
